Please join Baltimore Heritage on Thursday, June 21 for its 2007 Historic Preservation Awards Celebration and find out about some of the city’s best commercial and residential preservation projects and the people behind them. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Garrett Jacobs Mansion(ESB) at 11 West Mount Vernon Place. Thurs, Nov 29 1000 Friends of Maryland Ten-Year Anniversary Celebration. Baltimore architects have been a tremendous force behind the smart growth advocacy organization 1000 Friends of Maryland. On November 29, 1000 Friends will celebrate its ten-year anniversary with a fundraising gala at the acclaimed new Harbor East mixed-use development. Governor Martin O’Malley will serve as keynote speaker. The event will kick off with a lively panel discussion on growth and redevelopment issues, followed by a walking tour. The panel discussion offers 1.5 AIA/CES credits, and the walking tour 1, with registration. They begin at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively. The Dinner Gala begins at 6:30.
