Rebuild Together Baltimore
Rebuilding Together Baltimore (formerly Christmas in April) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and revitalizing houses and communities in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Every April, Rebuilding Together coordinates sponsors and volunteers to repair and renovate 60-70 homes of low-income elderly, disabled, and families with children, and completes community projects in one city neighborhood and one county neighborhood. On Saturday, April 27, teams will be working in Essex and Southern Mondawmin, and we need your help.
This program is an excellent opportunity to make a visible impact in our community, build team spirit, and create positive public relations. The scope of work on these projects range from minor painting to major repairs, so everyone that can lift a paint brush or swing a hammer can help. No one will be asked to do more than they are capable of doing.
This year AIABaltimore will be participating in Rebuilding Together Baltimore. Last year’s event was a great success. Everyone had a great time, and if you've ever done anything like this, you understand how wonderfully gratifying and satisfying this can be.
If you would like to volunteer, contact the AIABaltimore Rebuilding Together Baltimore Volunteer Coordinator, Lawrence Kuper, Associate AIA at Lawrence.Kuper@JohnAmmon.com or 410.752.3510, ext. 20.
