Continuing Education Program Archives

Highlighting Local Talent: Tuesday, January 11, 2005

Join AIABaltimore for its January monthly program highlighting three AIA firms and their award-winning projects. We begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, and the program at 6 in the AIABaltimore Gallery. Please send your check in advance to AIABaltimore: $10 members; $5 associates and students; $15 non-members. Space is limited.

David Jameson, AIA, received a B. of Arch. from Virginia Tech in 1990. Prior to the forming of his namesake firm, he apprenticed for acclaimed architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen, FAIA. Since founding David Jameson Architect Inc. seven years ago, he has created a body of work that has won over fifty local, regional, and national design awards. In addition, David was the recipient of the AIA National’s 2004 Young Architect of the Year Award and the Virginia Tech School of Architecture Young Alumni Award. David is a member of the Virginia Society Committee on Design, and currently serves the Northern Virginia AIA chapter as a director.

Mark McInturff, FAIA is a native of Washington DC and received his B.Arch. from the University of Maryland School of Architecture with its first graduating class in 1972. He has taught at the University of Maryland since 1980, and since 1987 as an annual visiting critic, with a focus on design competitions. Mark was appointed as the University of Maryland Kea Professor for Spring 2003. Since 1995, he has also been a visiting critic at the Catholic University’s School of Architecture and Planning. Mark was accepted to the College of Fellows of the AIA in 2000.
