Lafayette Square: A Walking Tour led by David Gleason, AIA, June 8, 2004
Lafayette Square, also known as Church Square for the number of congregations that settled in the area, defined fashionable city living for over 100 years. Although altered by the demolition of some prominent townhouses and institutional buildings, it retains much of its original architectural integrity an integrity that today is threatened by the gradual erosion of the physical fabric of the neighborhood.
