Geothermal Heating and Cooling and LEED 2.1

Learn about the green economic alternative to Cooling towers, Boilers and Compressors

AIABaltimore’s Continuing Education Committee and Committee on the Environment present an educational seminar on Geothermal Heating and Cooling Systems. Participants will learn about the LEED initiative for renewable energy, LEED certification, economic advantages and architectural design alternatives. Mr. David Hoffman, PE, Gipe Engineering, will cover all the basics for residential and commercial installations in a lively interactive presentation with graphic illustrations. Gipe Engineers, an AIA Affiliate, has completed several dozen geothermal projects for schools and corporate projects in Maryland. Mr. Hoffman is installing a geothermal system in his own home.
