2005 Design Awards and Beaux Arts Ball Celebration

The jury has their verdict for this year’s Design Awards after meeting in Richmond on September 8. Special thanks goes to jury members Chris Fultz AIA of SMBW Architects, PC, Wilson Rayfield AIA of Gresham Smith & Partners, and Lori Snyder Garrett of Glave & Holmes Associates. Thanks also to Madhuri Subramaniam of GWWO, Inc./Architects, who assisted Karen Lewand and the jury members.
With the competition over, it is now time to party …
Make plans now to see the results and celebrate design excellence in Baltimore at our 2005 Design Awards program and fourth annual Beaux Arts Ball on Friday, October 21 at the Jim Rouse Visionary Center at the American Visionary Art Museum.
The program begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by the party. The masquerade theme for the ball will be BIZARRO BALTIMORE, so be sure to dress in costume. The funky tunes of Mutual Fun, playing classic to modern rock, will create an entertaining mood for all. Everyone involved with the submitted projects is encouraged to attend. The public is also welcome at this highly-anticipated event.
The reservation fee is $45 per person (6 or more tickets @ $40 per person). Each registered architect entrant in the competition has received one complimentary ticket. To reserve your ticket, send a check to AIABaltimore by October 10. If payment is received later than that date, tickets will be held at Will Call the night of the event.
