The Art of Paul LeVine
On Display at the AIABaltimore Gallery
As a pen and ink artist and a landscape architecture graduate, Paul A. LeVine has been creating pen and ink art and outdoor entertaining spaces for over 20 years. To Paul, there is nothing more exciting than filling a blank piece of paper or property with something creative, evoking enjoyment and smiles from those who experience his work. Whether designing backyard dream spaces or creating works of art for the Baseball Hall of Fame, Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, he continually unites the clients' objectives and goals with forms and textures to offer a glimpse of something new.
Paul's love for creativity together with his artistic understanding of composition line, form, texture, space and balance provide an ideal foundation for landscape architecture, making each design project a unique work of art. As a nationally recognized artist, he commits artistic attention to the subtleties and fervor of sports which contributes to the display of several of his works in galleries throughout the United States. In addition, over 150 of Paul's works have been published.
Although Paul is a completely self-taught artist, his work reflects the precision and attention to detail he learned while earning a degree in landscape architecture. In fact, he can spend up to six weeks to finish one of his fine art drawings, refusing to be rushed in his pursuit of perfection.
Paul attended West Virginia University, where he played on the varsity soccer team and earned his degree in landscape architecture in 1989. In 1991, after working for an engineering firm, he started his nationally known sports art and design business, Personalized Sports Art. Paul has been commissioned by the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, and the Lacrosse Hall of Fame in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as by the Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Ravens, the Washington Capitals, the Washington Wizards, West Virginia University, Notre Dame University and Olympians Nate Carr, Anita Nall and Trent Demis. He is known as the official artist of the Raven’s Inaugural Stadium, the official artist the 1994 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Baltimore and the designer of the Orioles 40th anniversary logo.
Paul was born in Nuremburg, Germany in 1965, grew up in Anne Arundel County and now lives in Finksburg with his wife, Mel, and daughter Cy’Enna.
