Join AIABaltimore for our first Thursday opening reception August 1, from 5 7 pm, as we welcome recent architectural work from Sema and Murat Soygenis AIA of Istanbul, Turkey. The AIA Gallery is open to the public Monday-Thursday 9 4 30 pm.

Murat Soygenis
Murat Soygenis, born in 1961 in Ankara, received his architectural degree in Istanbul in 1982 and State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985. He worked in USA as design architect between the years 1985 and 1994. Since 1995, he continues his architectural activities in Istanbul at his architectural studio and currently teaches at YTU School of Architecture. He received national and international awards in architectural, urban planning and design competitions since 1983. His projects were exhibited in Turkey and USA; published extensively in various magazines and as a book titled Buildings and Projects 1982-1997. (http://www.soygenis.net)

Sema Soygenis
Sema Soygenis received her architectural degree in Istanbul in 1982 and State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986. She worked in USA as design architect between the years 1986 and 1990. Since 1990, she continues her architectural activities at her architectural studio and currently teaches at Beykent University School of Architecture. She received national and international awards in architectural competitions
