Recruits and guides exhibitors for the AIA Baltimore Gallery.

… Is the theme for the Associates Gallery Show coming up this September. In hopes of connecting Associates and Interns with fellow Architects, Principals, and Presidents of local Baltimore architecture firms, this year’s gallery show will be a retrospective of old and new, of past and present. The Associates will be looking up to their mentors and bosses who are making an impact on young architectural professionals today. Several individual architects will be asked to submit work from when they were Interns in the profession, opening up a dialogue between young architects and their mentors and building connections within firms and within the design community. Look forward to seeing thesis projects, sketchbooks, first completed designs, hand drawings, artwork, resumes, and photos. This year’s Associates Gallery show promises to be an interesting presentation of how young professionals once approached design, what they’ve accomplished over the years, and how their designs grew to shape not only the business of architecture in Baltimore, but also the city’s skyline.

The gallery show will open during the First Thursday gallery walk on September 2, 5-7 p.m. Individuals being asked to submit works for our Gallery show will receive a formal invitation in the coming weeks.
