The Monthly Continuing Education Program for October 2000 was "Jumping Ship – What’s Behind It? A Changing Work Force and Workplace"

Recruiting and retaining top talent in today’s employment climate is a critical challenge facing the building industry. Learn successful strategies to solve this challenge at the Annual AIA Baltimore Affiliates in Action Program. Donna Gaines, president of Gaines International, a Chicago-based search firm specializing in the fields of real estate, design, and construction, will share ways you can attract and keep key professionals with leadership talent. Joining her will be David W. Cardwell, Sr., president of Cardwell Associates. David is an expert in employee benefit programs and works with corporate employers throughout the Baltimore-Washington region on risk management and cost-effective approaches to employee benefits.

The program will be held on Tuesday, October 10 at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland; Knott Science Center (George Vaeth Associates-Architect of Record; Robert A.M. Stern-Design Architect). Reception - 5 pm. Program – 6:30 pm. AIA Members: $15; Students and AIA Associates: $10; All Others: $25.

AIA Members will receive 1.5 "new" AIA/CES credits with registration. For reservations, please mail payment to AIA Baltimore.
