July/August 2001 Programs Press Release
FAQ's and Other Mysteries - Parts I and II
Part I: July 24, 2001 at 6:15 PM, Part II: August 28, 2001 at 6:15 PM
AIABaltimore Board Room, 11 1/2 West Chase Street, Baltimore, MD
The AIABaltimore Technology in Practice Committee will meet Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at 6:15 PM, and Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at 6:15 PM. Our July and August meetings will focus on asking and answering those troublesome technology questions. Any technology subject is open game: printers, software, hardware, plotting, drawing, telephones, PDA's, digital camera, file formats, scanning, web sites, project websites, anything goes.... if technology is involved, there is always a question... It all sounds so easy to use, until you have a deadline. There is so much here, we are dividing this topic into two sessions. New members and prospective members are encouraged to join us for a round-table discussion and refreshments. Find out what works and what doesn't.
The meetings will be held in the Board Room at the Chapter House, 2nd Floor, 11 1/2 West Chase Street, Baltimore, MD. Parking is available on the street or in near-by surface parking lots. Call 410-625-2585 if you need directions. 2 AIA/CES (HSW) credits
AIA TiPC programs are planned to answer the challenges facing our practice today. To maintain our leadership in design, construction and planning, the profession must develop new paradigms, integrate rapidly changing technologies, specify new materials, and use new methods... To be added to the TiPC mailing list, contact committee chair Geraldine Pontius, A.I.A. at gpontius@gcp-architect.com
