Sustainability + Integrated Practice = Opportunity
Wednesday, November 5
5:30 p.m. reception; 6 program, AIABaltimore Gallery
Our industry is changing swiftly in response to a range of natural, cultural and economic forces. Trends in sustainable practice, design and building technology, and construction delivery models are converging toward a common path. Focused on the necessary goal of ecologically responsible design and fully integrated project teams, this presentation will cover forces driving change, connections to integrated project delivery, outcomes to the profession, activities of the Institute, and the resulting opportunities for architects.
Join us for this program presented by the AIABaltimore Committee on the Environment (COTE). Jessyca Henderson, AIA will explain the impact and benefits of integrated project delivery; the impact of integrated project delivery methods on sustainable building; and identify forces behind design and construction industry transformation that supports the AIA’s Sustainability and Integrated Project Delivery strategic initiative.
Jessyca Henderson, AIA, Resource Architect, is the staff subject matter resource for sustainable design/green architecture, energy efficiency in building design and construction, and information regarding the value of design.
This program offers 1 AIA/CES (HSW) credit with registration. $10/members; $5/associates/students; $25/non-members. Space is limited. Please send your payment in advance to AIABaltimore or call with a credit card.
