DONKERVOET GIFT

In 2006, our 135th anniversary year, the Board of Directors established a new Presidents’ Fund to permanently honor the passing of its Presidents. This special endowment began with a $1000 Board gift in memory of Richard C. Donkervoet, FAIA, who passed away in 2005. When the fund total reaches at least $10,000, the interest may be awarded for scholarship assistance.

Also this year as a separate endowment gift, Cochran, Stephenson & Donkervoet (CSD) gave $10,000 to AIABaltimore to establish another endowment specifically in Mr. Donkervoet’s name. After significant interest has accrued, it will be awarded for scholarship or related purpose in the memory of the last surviving founder of CSD. We are grateful to the firm for memorializing Mr. Donkervoet in this generous and meaningful manner.
